  9.      Since you are, lemme lay down some rules and stuff like that there.
  10.  
  11.      First of all, if this program breaks your system, I am truly sorry, 
  12. but I will not under any circumstances be held responsible for it either! 
  13.  
  14. I may try and help you sort it out, but I won't take any blame for it. This
  15. program has been tested on an AT 286 (12mhz), AT 386 (33 mhz), AT 486 (33 mhz)
  16. with various drives (RLL, IDE, SCSI and ESDI), and various video set ups from
  17. CGA to a 33,000 colour SVGA without trouble, so I'd be apt to say that if it
  18. didn't break your system, something else would have sooner or later anyway.

  20.      Secondly, you may NOT under any circumstances distribute a modified copy
  21. of TAG_SHUT. TAG_SHUT may only be distributed as-is without any addition to 
  22. the contents of the original archive.

  24. I feel that if you are going to use my door (which you can for free if you 
  25. choose) and can afford to do so, a small donation is in order (say $5 or $10) 
  26. to help defray my costs. If you happen to be a student (as I am), raising two 
  27. children on your own (as I am) then please, send me a postcard that has your 
  28. name, bbs number and name on it and I will see that you get your registered 
  29. copy of TAG_SHUT free of charge. This applies to anyone running a TAG system
  30. in a no-cost to users environment.

  32. Anyone using TAG_SHUT and not having contributed MUST keep a copy of TAG_SHUT
  33. online and freely available for download at all times. Failure to do so will
  34. require that you no longer use TAG_SHUT on your bbs.

  36. If you can't contribute due to needs, please let me know with at least a
  37. post card. If you have the financial means to, and choose not to contribute,
  38. please delete the file(s) and forget you ever saw my program. I am a sysop too
  39. and am well aware of how much time a utility such as this can save in USER
  40. maintenance by elimination of nuisance accounts!

  42. Systems that charge membership or online fees MUST contribute $10 or cease use
  43. after a trial period of not more than 30 days. There will be no exceptions to 
  44. this requirement.

  46. Some advantages to registering : 
  47.  
  48. Pause times in certain places can be reduced (or eliminated),
  49. Your name appearing in local logon screen (instead of [ UNREGISTERED ]), 
  50. Certain little goodies that I "may" provide if requested.
  51. Support. (now there's a dandy concept!)
  52.  
  53. Registration is a one shot deal meaning that if you pay now, all future enhanced
  54. versions will be provided free of further upgrade costs.
